The IFRS Certificate Program is a comprehensive, integrated curriculum of 25 online self-study courses. A scenario-based series of modules, the program uses multimedia elements, such as audio, video and interactive exercises and case studies, to guide you through concepts under each area of IFRS.
Your IFRS Certificate includes a free subscription to eIFRS (a £200 value), an online set of resources maintained by the IFRS Foundation featuring all original standards and amendments, additional research and training materials, and advanced electronic search capabilities. The eIFRS Online Subscription Service also gives you access to translated versions of IFRS and IASs, currently available in Dutch, French, German, Greek, Italian, Russian, Slovak and Spanish, and more, with other languages to follow.
No. The modules that comprise the IFRS Certificate program are available for CPAs, CAs, and other accounting professionals who do not have one of these credentials or their equivalent.
It is not necessary to have a detailed knowledge of the body of IFRS literature upon initiation of the program but you should possess a basic understanding and awareness. Individuals with a higher level of awareness of IFRS will require less time to complete the entire program.
This varies from person to person, but it is estimated that a commitment of approximately 41.5 hours will be required for most individuals to successfully complete the program.
Yes. The AICPA is a NASBA-approved provider of CPE; therefore, all the courses in the IFRS Certificate program will qualify for CPE credit.
The courses in the IFRS Certificate program will be classified as Accounting for purposes of granting CPE credits. As with other AICPA courses that are approved for other certifications, we fully expect the IFRS Certificate courses will satisfy those requirements. To be certain, please check with the organization that issues your CMA, CIA or other certifications.
Successful completion of each module is required to earn CPE credit and a digital badge. NASBA standards do not allow for “testing out of” a course to earn credit.
Yes. Courses may be purchased individually. However, these courses do not earn a certificate or other benefits provided to full program participants.
Yes, as long as you haven’t already paid more than the full certificate price. The price you paid for the courses or tracks you have already taken will be deducted from the total certificate price.
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee if for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with the program; however, program fees will be refunded on a pro-rata basis and, if there are modules where the exam has been completed and CPE credit has been granted, the full retail value for the module(s) will be deducted from the refund amount.
You have twenty-four (24) months from the date of purchase to complete the entire program.
Yes. Modules are offered individually, so you will earn CPE credit when you successfully complete the exam within each module. You are not required to complete the entire program to earn CPE credit. However, you must successfully complete the exam for all modules within the entire program to receive a digital badge.
Your certificate will be issued electronically as a digital badge. For information on how digital badges work, please see this video and our Digital Badge FAQ page.
You will receive an email within 5 business days of completing the program with instructions to accept and share your digital badge with your professional network.
Yes. A digital badge is evidence of successful completion of a required curriculum at a specific point in time. Given the regular issuance of new accounting standards by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), this badge expires 2 years from the date of issuance. If you complete the AICPA’s IFRS update course before your badge expires, or within 6 months of your badge expiring, your badge will remain active for another 2 years.
